Features in this issue include: an informative Green Building essay by local builder Tom Karas that highlights the resource efficiency, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality principals of building green; An audio segment on a society of ornithologists and locals that participate in the Leelanau County Christmas Bird Counts every year; and an informative look at the business of winter recreation in Northwest Michigan.

 

In addition to the two interviews with Mayor Smyka and Dave Hoejke in this months issue, a young essayist from Glen Lake shares with the YourPlace readers a reflection on her silent lair in the woods.  Also, meet the Mad Angler in a poetic pronouncement by Michael Delp.
