Through the Acme Township Updated 2005 Master Plan, community members affirmed their desire to preserve the visual landscape and scenic views of the township. During the planning process, area residents called for construction and performance standards that will help preserve the visually and aesthetically pleasing landscapes that are value to residents and tourists, alike. Based on these desires, the Acme Township Master Plan identified 15 locations where there are viewsheds of special significance.

Nine of the 15 viewshed locations are depicted as points on the accompanying map. Click each point to see pictures taken from these locations (locations marked with * in the legend also have 180° panoramic views). These unique scenic resources and views, only found in Acme Township, overlook the Grand Traverse Bay, the rolling hills, orchards, and creeks of Acme Township.  These locales encapsulate the beauty of the area, as they welcome visitors from the East and North as they enter Acme Township via M-72 E and US 31 N.  Don't believe us; take the tour yourself.
